The Arts Institute of Middlesex County (AIMC) and the Board of County Commissioners are pleased to offer grants to municipal and not-for-profit organizations based in Middlesex County. For more information on current grant programs, eligibility, deadlines, and workshops, please see below.
Middlesex County 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution Grants
The Arts Institute of Middlesex County will award grants, through a competitive process, to programs that explore Middlesex County’s history during the American Revolution and the legacy of the American Revolution in the county.
Grant funding is available to municipal entities and nonprofit organizations based in Middlesex County, which are recognized by the State of New Jersey, with IRS tax exemption as a 501c3 or 501c4 organization. All programs must take place within Middlesex County and must be open to the public and comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
All projects and events must be completed by December 31st, 2026
A final report is required.
Grants range from: $1,000 - $7,500
Deadline to Apply: Monday, June 30, 2025 by 11:59pm

2026 General Operating Support, Program Support, Historic Preservation, and Capital Grants
The Arts Institute of Middlesex County and the Board of County Commissioners are pleased to offer grants to municipal and not-for-profit organizations based in Middlesex County through a competitive application process. Grant Workshops
All current, former, and new applicants are encouraged to attend a virtual grant workshop to find out about the recent updates and changes to Middlesex County’s grant programs. If you are writing a proposal for the first time, or have not applied in the last three years, you are required to attend one of our Grant Workshops before submitting an application. All four of the workshops below will present the same content, so you only need to plan on attending one session.

Visual Arts Education Grants
Grant funding is available to nonprofit organizations located in Middlesex County to support Visual Arts Education programming for Middlesex County residents and visitors during calendar year 2025. Organizations are invited to submit a proposal for free or low-cost visual arts education programming that decreases barriers to access and participation.
Grants range from $1,000-$5,000

Accommodations: For accessibility accommodations or translation requests for the grant guidelines, please contact ADA Coordinator, Manda Gorsegner.
The services of a sign language interpreter, closed captioning provider, or audio descriptions are available upon request, provided two weeks advance notice. Assistive listening devices are provided at all in-person workshops. Guidelines can be made available in large print and Braille. AIMC will gladly assist individuals with disabilities in grant application preparation. The use of a computer can also be arranged at AIMC or municipal libraries.
