The Arts Institute of Middlesex County (AIMC) and the Board of County Commissioners are pleased to offer grants to municipal and not-for-profit organizations based in Middlesex County. For more information on current grant programs, eligibility, deadlines, and workshops, please see below.
Technical Assistance Grants
Technical Assistance funding is available to Arts, History, and Folklife nonprofit organizations located in Middlesex County that wish to strengthen their management skills, improve board functions, undertake long-range planning with a consultant, develop professional educational materials, or increase their virtual capacity and online presence. Technical Assistance grants can also be used for expenses related to planning arts and history activities to participate in RevolutionNJ.
Grants range from $800-$5,000
Applications for 2024 will open on March 15, 2024.
The deadline to apply is April 15, 2024 by 11:59pm.

2024 General Operating Support, Program Support, Historic Preservation, and Capital Grants
The Arts Institute of Middlesex County and the Board of County Commissioners are pleased to offer grants to municipal and not-for-profit organizations based in Middlesex County through a competitive application process. These grants can be used for Arts, History, Historic Preservation, and Capital projects. Projects must serve the public and take place in Middlesex County.

Grant Workshops
All current, former, and new applicants are encouraged to attend a virtual grant workshop to find out about the recent updates and changes to Middlesex County’s grant programs.
If you are writing a proposal for the first time, or have not applied in the last three years, you are required to attend one of our Grant Workshops before submitting an application.
Workshops for the 2025 application cycle will open in early summer 2024.
Accommodations: For accessibility accommodations or translation requests for the grant guidelines, please contact ADA Coordinator, Manda Gorsegner.
The services of a sign language interpreter, closed captioning provider, or audio descriptions are available upon request, provided two weeks advance notice. Assistive listening devices are provided at all in-person workshops. Guidelines can be made available in large print and Braille. AIMC will gladly assist individuals with disabilities in grant application preparation. The use of a computer can also be arranged at AIMC or municipal libraries.
